"Each of us makes his own weather, determines the color of the skies in the emotional universe in which he inhabits."

Fulton J. Sheen

N. L. Campbell was born into a family of storytellers in Portland, Oregon.  She started her writing career in grade school, scribbling stories with her favorite mechanical pencil.  The first story about a cat in the backyard was dedicated to her father with crayon illustrations.  Other stories followed, stories that went into the desk drawer, to be pulled out and worked on over the years through high school and college.  The scribbling grew into short stories and novels that she submitted to publishers and agents who were right in rejecting the work.  She learned with each rejection, editing and polishing the next draft.

The Sweetwater Trail is her first book and has been on Amazon Top 100 list for Westerns.

N. L. Campbell continues to learn and love the craft of writing, and is ably supervised by her two cats, Eros and Azure.
